Upon graduation, she was awarded the prestigious South Australian Dental Service Prize, recognising her outstanding clinical excellence, professionalism, leadership, and dedication to supporting both patients and colleagues.
Following graduation, Sharyn worked within the Special Needs Unit at the Adelaide Dental Hospital while continuing in private practice. Her broad clinical experience has equipped her to provide thoughtful, personalised care to a diverse range of patients, with particular interests in special needs dentistry, the management of anxious patients, medically compromised individuals, and children’s dental care.
Sharyn believes that great dentistry starts with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and concerns, helping them feel at ease while working together to achieve long-term oral health and confident smiles.
Beyond clinical practice, Sharyn has been actively involved in the dental profession. She served on the Australian Dental Association (SA) Recent Graduates Committee for five years and spent three years on the ADA South Australia Council, contributing to the advancement of the profession and supporting emerging dentists.
Sharyn is also passionate about community service and international outreach. Since 2005, she has been involved with the Rotary/Lions East Timor Dental Project, volunteering on multiple dental missions and supporting the initiative through fundraising and community education.
Committed to lifelong learning, Sharyn regularly undertakes continuing professional development to ensure her patients benefit from the latest evidence-based dental care. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Outside of dentistry, Sharyn enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and attending sporting events.
